First and foremost I am a part-time, single mother of two active and lovely little girls. Secondly, I have made a vow to myself to remain just that, my self. I refuse to take on an identity as just a mother, as just a graduate student, as just a writer, etc. Boundaries, those which seek to define, stratify and categorize human beings (and nature) are not for me. My beliefs, though strong are subject to change, my identity is chameleon, my tastes, though finicky in any given time and space, are vast. I love mornings, I love afternoons, I love nighttime, I love rain and snow and heat, I love nature, yet I am inspired by the cosmopolitan. I love fancy, spiky heeled shoes, but I have, and I do, wear them in the mud and I can run in them. I see myself as beautiful, terrifying, sad, poetic, vulnerable, strong, smart, witty, wild and cheesy. And, I like to cuss. So fuck it. I will try just about anything, I am not afraid to mess up or say what I think, feel or see. I have been accused, by a boy I was in love with for about twenty-four hours, of "having absolutely no tact."
